Research Commercialisation pitching applications 12.12.2025 (pre-incorporation)

Get visibility with the leading deep tech Venture Capital investors and refine your commercialisation plan. Participating will also increase your readiness for Business Finland R2B or other Proof of Concept money applications if you don't already have these. R2B event format is a modified “Deep Dive” (https://www.joinmimir.org/deepdive). Cases will be presented by students supported by the research team

• Up to 10 commercialisation cases will be chosen for pitching
• You can be from anywhere but you HAVE TO participate at the event on the 12th of December in Jyväskylä (no online participation)
• Deadline for applying is 30.11.2025
• Chosen students will be matched with the technology cases for introductions and pitching preparation.
• 10 of the 30 students will be chosen for the final pitching:
  • Pitching format is 2 minute pitch and 2 minutes of questions
  • Evaluation will be weighted on both the presentation communication and the material contents/impact/potential of the idea. Deeptech cases get preference, but this is not a requirement.
  • Pitches will be evaluated by The VC panel
• winner gets a prize purse of minimum €2000

Who can apply: Anybody with a commercial idea. We prefer cases that are based on research. 

The prizes are awarded directly to the presenting individual and the individuals from the related research team. This prize does not relate to any ongoing projects or companies. This is an individual recognition.
